    We send you the questionnaire.

    About 4 weeks out, we send a fun questionnaire about you both. Your celebrant uses it to write a ceremony only your guests could hear and know it's about you.

The most-asked ones, answered honestly. If yours isn't here, ask us at your viewing — there's no such thing as a silly question.

Do we still get to make choices and tailor the wedding to us?
Absolutely. Everything personal is yours: your ceremony is written from your story, your playlist is yours, your food truck is yours, your vows are yours. The package handles the logistics — the personality is 100% you. Most couples find this is more tailored than DIY, because we ask the right questions.
Does 'all-inclusive' mean lower quality?
The opposite. Our food trucks are Melbourne's most iconic eateries. Our DJs play real clubs. Our celebrants have 10+ years on the altar. Our photographers are full-time pros. We choose partners we'd hire for our own weddings — and the bundle means we can pay them fairly without inflating your price.
How much can we be involved in the planning?
As much or as little as you like. We send a questionnaire about 4 weeks out, then a call the week of. Some couples send us a Spotify link and a vibe board. Some send us a 4-page document. Both are great. The system flexes around how you like to plan.
Do you just play the Grease Megamix and Dancing Queen, or is the music tailored?
Genuinely tailored. We ask for your must-plays and your must-NOT-plays. Couples have walked down the aisle to everything from indie ballads to drum-and-bass. Our DJs play clubs in their day jobs — they're not a wedding-band-on-a-laptop. You will not be hearing the Macarena unless you specifically request the Macarena.
Is the drinks package really unlimited?
Yes — for the full 5 hours. Beer, sparkling, white, red, rosé and soft drinks flow as long as you want them, served by dedicated bar staff. Alcohol-free gin and prosecco are included free of charge. The only thing we keep an eye on is making sure everyone gets home safely.
Will our parents and grandparents feel welcomed? Will they love it?
Yes — and they always do. We're fully accessible (step-free entry, accessible bathrooms). There's a quiet break-out space at the back for anyone who needs a moment. Our bar staff treat every guest like they're VIPs. Grandparents tend to love it most — they've never been to a wedding like it.
Can we bring our dog?
Please do. We are 100% animal and pet friendly — bring the fur baby down the aisle. Woof woof.
What if it rains?
Doesn't matter. The whole thing is indoors, under our neons, in our chapel. Rain, hail, 40°C heatwave — your day runs exactly as planned.
How far in advance should we book?
Saturdays in peak season (Oct–Mar) book 12–18 months out. Off-peak and weekday dates have more flexibility. The viewing is the best place to ask about your specific date — bring two or three options.
We're based interstate — can we still book Viva Las Abbotsford?
Absolutely — and you wouldn't be the first. We've had couples fly in from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and even Wellington, NZ for a Viva Las Abbotsford night. If you can't make it to Melbourne for a viewing, we offer virtual viewings via video call. Once you see it — in person or on screen — you'll know.
